Is the Wifi any good?
Yes. In the end of 2020 we had fibre optic broadband installed. We now have a very fast and stable connection. So everyone can stream the latest series or do a bit of work ;)
Is bed linen included?
Yes. And your beds will be made before you arrive. As for bath and pool towels, you can either bring your own or hire ours for 10€ for a set of two towels per week.
Can I have a car free holiday at Laborie?
Yes and there is plenty to discover on foot or by bike. We have 3 bikes at your disposal for free. But bear in mind that the Dordogne Valley is vast. Public transport being virtually non-existant, you might want to hire a car for a day or two to reach sites further afield.

How close is Laborie to the major sites?
The Dordogne Valley is a large area. From one end to the other, it would take you almost 2 hours by car. We are right in the middle, in one of the prettiest spots, 10 km from Rocamadour and 35 km from Sarlat. You can easily get to the river on foot, to find a beach or hire a canoe. Food supplies are in the next village in Saint-Sozy (bar, butcher, bakery, restaurants,...) easily reachable on foot.

Can I swim in the Dordogne River?
Yes. It is the cleanest river in France, reaching 21 degrees in summer. You can also canoe and do some paddle boarding. There are many wild beaches scattered all around Laborie.
Does the Dordogne Valley get very hot?
It can become very hot on occasion but there are many ways to cool down, in the pool, river, lakes, even under a waterfall. At Laborie, we provide you with a fan for each bedroom. There is air conditioning in the bread oven cottage. Be aware the weather is not consistently hot. You may experience rain and thunderstorms in summer as well.
